FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A: Some pets are stressed more easily than others and some pets just don’t like other dogs/cats. Exposure to a new place away from home could cause adverse reactions by your pet. When we come to your home your pet(s) don’t experience any new place/routine jitters. They are fed their own food and kept on their normal routine. Sitting in your home is best for anti-social pets, skittish pets, or people who want their pets to experience the comforts of home without interacting with other animals or staying in an unfamiliar place.
A: Services can be customized to your pets routine. Generally pet sitters:
- Feed your pets and change their water bowls
- Provide exercise and play time (including walking the dog)
- Cleaning litter boxes and cleaning up any other pet messes
- Administering pet medications, if needed
- Providing lots of TLC!
- Misc home services such as retrieving mail, taking out trash, and watering plants
A: Yes, we are insured through PetCare Insurance. If your pet needs medical attention all non pre-existing injuries are covered by our insurance.
A:Every sitter is trained and PKLA certified to administer oral medications (liquid or pill). If your pet requires an injection please let us know prior to booking to ensure we assign the sitter best suited for your pets needs.
A: We can definitely assist with your pet travel needs :-). We offer transportation services within a 5 mile radius. Sending your pet on a long distance trip? We can help with that also – contact us for details!
A: We recommend that each household provide us with a set of keys or lock box access. In the unlikely event that your keys are lost, it is covered by our insurance and your entire house would be re-keyed at no cost to you.
A: We are happy to accommodate all requests (subject to availability).
A: All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. We accept cash or credit card. All clients set up for automatic billing are invoiced every Sunday.
A: We require a 24-hour notice for cancellations for a full refund. There are NO cancellation fees ever! If you need to cancel within 24-hours of your scheduled service date no problem, a credit will added to your account for future services. If a sitter/walker has already arrived at your home the service will be charged as completed.
A: As a dog owner you will have the peace of mind knowing a member of your family is being well cared for while you are away or at work. PKLA walkers are able to give your pup(s) a bathroom break, a chance to get out in the fresh air and take in the sights and smells while enriching your dog’s life at the same time. Our walkers build lasting bonds with your dog(s) that ensure optimal results from each walk. All walks are private.
